Imprisonment
One shall not harass, abuse or injure animals, nor deliberately slaughter dogs or cats. The maximum penalty is a prison term of up to two years, including a fine of NT$200,000 to NT$2 million.
Fines
The penalties for the sale, purchase, consumption, or possession of dog and cat carcasses, the animals’ internal organs, and food containing dog or cat parts will entail a fine of NT$50,000 to NS$250,000.
Deportation
If a foreign worker is prosecuted or convicted of a crime, the Ministry of Labor will take measures to have his or her work permit nullified and the offender will face deportation.

Ruan Qing Yuan
Ruan Qing Yuan came from Vietnam. She’s now 25 years old, and has been studying in Takming University of Science and Technology for three and half years. Qing Yuan once kept a cat in hometown, so she have experiences of living with animals. Since she knows TAEA in her first grade in college, she has kept helping the promotion of “No killing or eating cats and dog” to foreign labours. She has dedicated to this volunteering activity for three and half years. Qing Yuan is out-going and eye-catching, so she’s quite popular and welcome when she’s doing promotions. In this video she’s the protagonist, and accompanied by one of her Vietnamese classmate, Lan Ying.
A Dai Gu
A Dai Gu’s is a medium sized dog, which mixed with yellow and black hair. He is the photographer’s 5-year-old dog. He’s active and energetic. However, as he was once a stray dog, he becomes more to with his owner in unfamiliar places. The timid look is ideal to present the theme of this video.
